Well, not really new, but updated.

A long while ago, I was in the process of making a comic with my friends by the name of Active Partition. It was meant to be a story about a virus and superpowers and what not; I'd love to summarize it better but unfortunately I'm not very good at that sort of thing. All of the characters in the comic were based off of us; our designs were literally us, and our personalities were somewhat of caricatures of us. I made some concept art, I made eight pages, and then it just sort of fell by the wayside.

This new comic is Active Partition, but with a lot of things redone.

There are a lot of reasons for this, one of them being the art style. I didn't make pages too often because it took a whole lot of effort to make them. All backgrounds were digitally painted; I thought it would be a good way to practice painting, but I soon found out that it meant I had to, you know, paint everything. So everything took far too much effort, and I lost all motivation to make more pages.

Second, looking back on it, making characters that are completely based off of real people is a really slippery road to walk on. Obviously, conflict needs to be created for there to be a story, and if our characters are based off of real people, there's always the chance that those conflicts can leak into real life. That's not really something to look forward to.

Third, I really liked the story, but the way it's presented initially was just...I don't want to say bad, but now that I have a bit more experience with storywriting, it's very rocky. So I'm redoing this.

So!

Now, Active Partition is going to be redone! Yay!

Unfortunately, I won't be posting any pages until I get it filed in the copyright office. I'm planning on getting this published, and I feel uncomfortable posting the comic until I know for sure that it's secure.

I'll be posting character art soon. Stay tuned if you're interested!
